Ring Rowing Club annual regatta and 25th Anniversary celebrations
Friday 28 May 2010 to Saturday 29 May 2010 at Ring, Clonakilty.

Ring Rowing Club will host its annual regatta and 25th Anniversary celebrations on the weekend of 28th May. The events will kick off with a Fun Run on the Friday evening, 28th, at 7.30pm sharp from Kitty Macs in Ring. Everyone is welcome to come along and jog, run or even walk this picturesque 5 KM route in aid of Ring Rowing Club. This will be followed by food and ‘live’music in Kitty Macs with great new band, The Truth About Lies playing ‘live’ in the marquee behind Kitty Macs. Admission is free and some brave local men have volunteered to have their heads shaved on the night in aid of the Club so a fun filled night is assured!

On Saturday, 29th May, the Ring Family Day will commence at Deasy’s Pier from 3.00pm. With children’s running races, games, a dog show with prizes for ‘Best Dressed Dog’ and ‘Best Family Pet’, there is sure to be entertainment for all the family. The Regatta itself commences at 5pm with all Southwest Rowing Clubs competing on the water in various age categories. Prize giving follows at Kitty Macs from 9.00pm with barbecue and live music by Red Effect, a band who play everything from ‘70’s through to present day and are guaranteed to generate a great party atmosphere. Admission is free and Ring Rowing Club warmly welcomes all members of the local community and visitors alike
