Scallys Launches Marathon 25 Year Anniversary Celebrations

To celebrate 25 years of service to thousands of Corkonians and visitors to West Cork, Scally’s of Clonakilty have announced details of the most amazing give-away of €35,000 running over 25 weeks with a top prize of €25,000 cash.

 

With Rachel Allen and many local producers on hand, Eugene & Catriona Scally launched the festivities on Tuesday. “This celebratory programme includes a marvellous cross section of unique food and fun events,” Rachel Allen announced, “Added to this are prize draws, celebrity chef’s demonstrations and entertainment. Scally’s have again shown their great generosity and promise to electrify the whole community, as well as our summer visitors. We would all like to congratulate them on 25 years of excellence.”  

 

Over the course of the spring and summer for 25 weeks, customers will receive a free entry to this epic marathon event every time they spend €25 or more using their valuclub tag. “Every week, five contestant’s names will be drawn from a hat,” said Eugene. “Every five weeks, we will host a unique festive and fun event at which the 25 contestant’s names will be drawn again and reduced to five. This will give us a total of 25 names for the grand finale at the end of August.”

 

The five festive fetes are ‘Best of Local’  on 18^th March  - a celebration of fresh and local Cork produced fare;  ‘Corks and Forks’ on 21^st April - Uncorked fun with tastings of cool new wines with fine food and cheeses‘On the Grill’ on 26^th May– tastings ofthe spices of life with smoked foods, BBQ’s, savory zest and zing plusa pig on the spit for all to enjoy;  ‘A Taste of the Coast’ on 30^th June - A Titanic display and tastings of Seafood and Shoreline fare; ‘World Flavours on 5^th August - A celebration of flavours from around the world.

 

The Grand Finale, where the lucky €25,000 cash winner will be drawn, will take place against the backdrop of Scally’s‘Local Harvest  with Rachel Allen’ on 18^th August – A fabulous food festival, showcasing the very best of local and international fare available in West Cork.
